CMC GBP Index

Our CMC GBP Index is a forex CFD basket made up of a collection of currency pairs that all have the same base currency, the British pound sterling (GBP). This gives you exposure to multiple currencies using one single position. The GBP Index can also help to provide a benchmark overview for the international value of the sterling, as it tracks the underlying prices of the currency pairs. Examples of constituents within the forex index include GBP/EUR, GBP/USD, GBP/CHF and GBP/CAD. If individual forex prices appreciate, then this will increase the overall value of the basket, and if the forex prices depreciate, the overall value of the basket will decrease.
